2008 “Time Together” Ladies Reteat

What an awesome time we had this weekend during our first retreat held here at Oasis Christian Center.  On Friday, ladies started arriving around 3:30 in anticipation for the “Time Together” weekend.  We started the night off fellowshiping with friends and making new ones.

The schedule for this retreat was packed with fun, fellowship, God-inspired services and CHOCOLATE!!!  Following the Friday night service we meet up in the activity room for our crazy PJ party.  We had a fun and hilarious time with skits, games and fighting over door prizes.  One of the highlights of the night was when Pastor Sharon Allen, from Christ Worship Center, fought for what she termed, “The dumbest picture I’ve ever laid my eyes on.”  Once she finally won it she had a “Revelation story” (joking) to share with everyone.  Also, we will always remember Heber Neber.

As well as having tons of fun, we had a blessed time together in each service.  The theme for each service was about how we are being strategically positioned by God for such a time as this.  Charli Pickett ministered on “Being Repositioned To Be Positioned.”  And Malissa Sanders ministered on “Picking Up Your Promise.”  She and the praise team also lead us into God’s presence through Praise & Worship.  Pastor Shanda Tripp and the ladies at Fireplace Fellowship also blessed us in song during our Friday night service.

This years retreat was more diverse than ever.  It was exciting being with ladies here locally and ones driving from as far away as Pontotoc, MS, Paducah, KY, Savannah, Knoxville, Crossville, Cookeville, TN and the surrounding middle TN area.

We would also like to give special thanks to the many people who worked hard to make this such an exciting weekend.  Also to 5/3 Bank and Lowes for donating doorprizes.
