What an awesome time we had this weekend during our first retreat held here at Oasis Christian Center. On Friday, ladies started arriving around 3:30 in anticipation for the “Time Together” weekend. We started the night off fellowshiping with friends and making new ones.
The schedule for this retreat was packed with fun, fellowship, God-inspired services and CHOCOLATE!!! Following the Friday night service we meet up in the activity room for our crazy PJ party. We had a fun and hilarious time with skits, games and fighting over door prizes. One of the highlights of the night was when Pastor Sharon Allen, from Christ Worship Center, fought for what she termed, “The dumbest picture I’ve ever laid my eyes on.” Once she finally won it she had a “Revelation story” (joking) to share with everyone. Also, we will always remember Heber Neber.
As well as having tons of fun, we had a blessed time together in each service. The theme for each service was about how we are being strategically positioned by God for such a time as this. Charli Pickett ministered on “Being Repositioned To Be Positioned.” And Malissa Sanders ministered on “Picking Up Your Promise.” She and the praise team also lead us into God’s presence through Praise & Worship. Pastor Shanda Tripp and the ladies at Fireplace Fellowship also blessed us in song during our Friday night service.
This years retreat was more diverse than ever. It was exciting being with ladies here locally and ones driving from as far away as Pontotoc, MS, Paducah, KY, Savannah, Knoxville, Crossville, Cookeville, TN and the surrounding middle TN area.
We would also like to give special thanks to the many people who worked hard to make this such an exciting weekend. Also to 5/3 Bank and Lowes for donating doorprizes.

I enjoyed it very much. It was far beyond my expectations. Can’t wait till the next one!
I loved it.I had never been to a pajama party before that night and I had sooo much fun.
In the service I got filled with boldness and more. The lord let me know through him I can do all things.Charlie said I would heal through my cooking.I love to cook and God has blessed me with that talent, because I had to learn how to cook on my own my mom did not teach me.She had to work to keep us feed and a roof over our heads. She did the best she could and I love her for it.I will be at the next retreat.I have told everyone about the place.I hope to bring my daughter- in- laws next time.
thank you for a wonderful time.
Coming to the Oasis retreat this year was the second retreat for me, but of course, it was the first retreat in the new facility in Franklin, KY. I must say the beauty of the surroundings was only surpassed by the beauty of the spirit I felt in traveling to, participating in and traveling back from the retreat with the ladies of Reynolds Chapel Church as well as all of you I met while I was there. Janet and Robert, I so commend you for the work you are doing, may the blessings we all receive as a result of having this beautiful place to come to once a year be returned to you many times over — and I know your local church is going to grow as well. And to our speaker Charli Pickett — I enjoyed your message on being “repositioned to be positioned” — in fact, I already have “quoted” from it several times since we left the retreat — and I took strength from that message regarding some things going on with me personally — thank you for following the leading of the Spirit with your message.
— see you next year! God Bless!
All in all, I just wanted to say that I truly enjoyed myself and gleaned some great “soul food” from the retreat — I also won a great earring and necklace set as a door prize —
I want to thank Pastors Robert and Janet McClung for inviting me to speak at this wonderful ladies retreat. I was truly blessed to meet so many new sisters-in-the-faith and to share the love of Jesus Christ with each and every one, as well as having fun and fellowship. I will cherish each moment I spent on “the Hill” in Kentucky with some of God’s most precious people. I was blessed indeed. I pray for each person that attended that their lives will continually be filled with the love of God and a deeper desire to know Him more.
My husband Bob and I send our prayers and blessings to everyone involved, and we give God all the praise and glory for what He did and will continue to do in all our lives.
Love to each of you,
Charli & Bob Pickett

I was so thankful I came to the Friday night service. God really ministered to me and answered some prayers I had. You have and awesome place and I know that there is an explosion coming. I felt such a peace the minute we drove onto the grounds. Step into all He has called you to do forget those things you have left behind and know that “The Latter Will Be Greater”
Much Love,
Tonya Long
What a great time we had this week end!
“Time Together” spent laughing, crying, eating, fighting for a chair or gift in the activity room, seeing old friends and meeting new ones.
Some of the ladies took one of Sister Sharon’s “bird pictures” and in their Sunday AM service they made a special presentation to her — they had it framed and put in a nice gift bag. I heard it was really funny! We will never forget her art revelations.
